Lab Staff -- Lab Aides' Manual

We will familiarize you with the lab equipment and give you basic information about operating it

We will show you basic Internet navigation procedures.

We will assist you with your coursework printing needs and distribute your printouts. Please refer to the Printing section for detailed information

We are not instructors, so we can't help you with class assignments.

We are not personal assistants or tutors.

Lab Users

The labs are available to HCCS students with valid ID's and to members of the HCCS faculty and staff.

During peak periods of the day and/or semester, we may limit the length of time you may remain at a computer station. This will allow more equitable access for all users at these times.

The labs are extensions of the classroom. Please make arrangements for childcare, as children are not allowed in the labs.

Each time you use the lab, you will sign in and out and present your ID to a staff member. A staff member may request your ID at any time you are in the lab.
