Technology Committee Standard Operating Procedures

1.  The Tech Com receives a suggestion or complaint from a faculty member, staff member, or student.

2.  The Tech Com investigates the worthiness of the suggestion or complaint.

3.  The Tech Com votes [majority decision] to return the suggestion or complaint to the sender with a request for more information OR finding it not worthy of support OR upholds the suggestion or complaint.

4.  If upheld the Tech Com contacts administrator Larry Mers with its recommendation and seeks action or a comment in reply.

5.  If he upholds it, the recommendation is sent to the SWC President for action, comment, or disapproval.

6.  If he does not uphold it, the Tech Com reconsiders its recommendation after hearing his reasons.  If the committee agrees with Mr. Mers the recommendation dies.

7.  If the committee disagrees with Mr. Mers, the recommendation is sent to the SWC President without his approval.

8.  The committee informs the send of the original suggestion or complaint a summary of the outcome.
