Smaragdo Kokkinis
Curriculum Vitae
Smaragdo Kokkinis, a native of Athens, Greece, is fluent in Greek, French, English, Spanish and German. She holds a Diploma from the National University of Athens in French and Greek Literature and a Master of Arts from the University of Michigan, with emphasis on the teaching of French. She also is a Ph.D Candidate in French Literature from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She has taught French at the University of Michigan and the University of California. Since 1995 she has been teaching French at Houston Community College as adjunct professor, first at Central, and currently at Southwest. Since 2000 she has also been teaching the Modern Greek courses offered at the University of Houston.
