Dr. Mesfin Genanaw is a native of Ethiopia, East Africa.   He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM).  He received a B.A. degree in Business management from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in 1983 and an MBA from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, in 1991.    He has worked in a number of Accounting and management positions at different organizations and taught numerous courses in Accounting, management and instructional technology.   In 1999, he earned his Ed.D. with honors in Higher Education Administration (Minor: Accounting) at Texas Southern University.   Dr. Genanaw is a professor and Assistant Chair of Accounting at the Houston Community College System.
