Contact Numbers & Schedule

E-mail: harrisonstudentmail@earthlink.net  You will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail when your message is received, and I generally respond to emailed concerns and questions within 48 hours.

Phone/Voicemail: 713-718-2223, ext. 30046.  Generally, email is better for reaching me quickly.

Office Hours: While most Southwest faculty members have no offices as such, I'm happy to meet or consult with you before or after class, by appointment at a designated HCC location, or by e-mail or phone.  Please make a note of my schedule below for places you can locate me during the week--we can easily meet in a convenient common area at times I'm not in class or tutoring. On Fridays I'm generally home working, so it's a good time to conference by e-mail.

Biography

Lee Harrison has been teaching and tutoring since 1996, and joined the HCC Southwest English Faculty in 2003.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Graphic Design from Lamar University in 1981, a Masters in Applied English Linguistics from the University of Houston in 1999, and is currently working on a doctoral degree in English Literature at the University of Houston.  She worked as a graphic designer for 18 years before starting her studies in language and literature, and continues to use that experience in the English writing classroom to help students examine and question the many "texts" they encounter in their academic, public and everyday lives.
