History 1302 Booklist

This list of books/monographs will be used to select the reviews for this course. Use the syllabus to determine the reading requirement for this semester. Use the book review format to prepare your book reviews.

This is the readings requirements booklist for the following classes

AND SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING MONOGRAPHS/BOOKS

 

1.      Dispatches, Herr

2.      Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee, Dee Brown

3.      All Quiet on the Western Front, Erich Remarque

4.      Hiroshima, John Hershey

5.      Fast Food Nation, Schlosser

6.      Diary of Anne Frank

7.      How the Other Half Lives, Riis

8.      Any other historical account of the Viet Nam War

 

 

 

If you have a book that may fit into History 1302, ask me for permission to substitute it for one of the above listed monographs or books.  Do not read another book withing asking me in advance.

 

You are required to write onebook review on either a monograph or a book using a format I will provide.  Make your review 2-3 pages, double-spaced. This format is on my web site.    For detailed instructions on your reading requirements, read the course syllabus.
