As vice president of finance and marketing for Easley Investment Corporation, Joe provided financing for a 158 unit condominium project in Houston, a 202 unit resort condominium in Keystone, Colorado (approximately $20,000,000), four strip shopping centers in College Station, Texas, a 480,000 sq ft office/warehouse project in Houston and various multimillion dollar land acquisition loans in Houston and Colorado. In addition he was responsible for the sales and leasing of the companies development projects. The 202 unit project in Keystone was sold out prior to completion of construction.

Joe continues his involvement in the real estate community by being active in real estate groups and attending real estate programs on a regular basis. He is a past president of the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association and has the CREI designation. He is the recipient of the Don Roose Award of Excellence. He is also active in the Real Estate Educators Association.
In the last several years, Joe has authored a book entitled “Environmental Issues in Real Estate” published by Prentice Hall and has co-authored Real Estate Investments with Jack Wiedemer and published by Thompson Learning. He is the author of “Instructor’s Manual with Test Item File” for the “Real Estate Principles” book authored by Charles Jacobus. In addition, he is co-author of “Texas Real Estate Sales Exam” published by Learning Express. He has authored and co-authored numerous other real estate publications
He has developed Law of Contracts, Investments, Environmental Issues, Property Management, Finance, Loan Origination, and Appraisal courses on the Internet and teaches these courses on a regular basis. He also authored an on line environmental course for the National Association of Realtors which is being offered on the internet.
