BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Hillar earned her Master degree in Foreign Languages from the Univesity of Chile, Santiago, a Master from Columbia University, New York, and a Master and a Doctorate from the University of Houston in Spanish and Bilingual Education. Currently she is professor of Spanish and Assistant Chair for Foreign Languages at Houston Community College SW. She is also a Section Chair, Foreign Languages, TCCTA. She has been working at the HCCS since 1973. Dr. Hillar is the director and coordinator of the program Mexico Study Trip since 1990 in conjunction with the Spanish Language Institute, Cuernavaca, Mexico. This program is implemented twice a year, in March and in July. She is the author of “Aventura Al Mundo Hispánico,” a textbook/reader for Spanish 2312.
