Individual Research Project Requirements Document
Each student is to research the technology topic that they chose this semester. The topic must be finalized in class on 2/5/2008!
The end result of the research will be a report which will be created in HTML and or Flash with the following requirements:
The report will be clear and informative on the chosen subject. The content must be your own words do not copy and paste from other sources for this information (25 points).
The report will reside on a web server (you fail this project and recieve a 0 if the project is not viewable on the internet).
The report will work well on PC and Mac platforms. It must work on IE 6+ and Netscapte 7+ and Firefox web browsers on both computer platforms and on Safari on the Mac platform (10 points).
The report will have be of at least 5 HTML documents, (no frames based sites are to be used!) Each page must be under 80 k in file size! (5 points)
Graphic Design of the site will be worth (15 points).
CSS for text formating must be used on each. You must use an external style sheet for all of the CSS on this project. No <font> tags will be accepted. (15 points).
Clean layout with good usability principals (10 points).
Images (5 point).
Proper file structrue - no root dumping! (9 points).
Random image each time page loads. (1 points).
Animation of either flash or animated gif. (5 points).
The project is due on 3/26/2008. You must post the project on a web server and the instructor must recieve the url to the project by 6:45 pm on this day.
Also turn in a copy of the project on cd rom in class that same day.
