Biography

ACADEMIC:     AA - Houston Community College, Southwest College
                        BA in Humanities - University of Houston, Clear Lake
                        MLA with English Concentration - University of St. Thomas

MILITARY:  I served two tours in our nation's Air Force and am a Persian Gulf War Veteran.  During my tenure in the military I received several decorations including, but not limited to; the National Defense Service Medal; the Air Force Achievement Medal; the Air Force Good Conduct Medal (twice); the Air Force Longevity Service Award; and the Overseas Long Tour Ribbon.  I also played basketball in the military and had the opportunity to travel quite a bit.  My basketball career ended when I tore my ACL.  And yes (intentional fragment).  I was good.

CORPORATE:  After serving in the military I joined the corporate ranks as a paralegal and administrator.  I worked for one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world and was responsible for; providing devices (DSKs, Compilers, etc...) to universities worldwide in order to help them establish Digital Signal Processing (DSP) labs in their universities; organizing conferences and marketing events for professors and industry personnel; creating and maintaining web pages; negotiating and managing contracts; and editing newsletters.   

My legal career was spent in environmental, patent, intellectual property, and medical malpractice law.
