Extra Credit Information
All extra credit is optional and not required to pass this course.
Extra credit is NOT added to your final grade average for exams or the class. Select your extra credit projects wisely, because once you earn the maximum points you are not eligible for any additional extra points during the semester. See the syllabus and extra credit opportunities for extra credit details.
You will be graded on the following criteria:
· Following directions—Did you do what I asked?
· Accuracy and currency of information—Is your information current and correct?
· Thoroughness of your answers—Did you answer all the parts of the questions?
· Originality of work—Did you write in your own words or cut and paste from a website?
· Quality of research—Did you find the information asked?
· Clearness of expression—Can I understand your point?
· Quality of writing—Did you write in standard English, following grammar and spelling rules.
Guidelines: Extra credit is an oppoortunity for your to learn about government to EARN a few extra points. I will gladly accept your extra credit on-time and in class. I will not accept emails with your extra credit assignment attached.
Please type the extra credit questions in your paper (using single line spacing), then answer the questions (using double line spacing). Do not answer the questions asked by provoding me with endless quotes or citations. I want to know your opinion and thoughts written in your words. You must answer all of the questions or you will receive a zero (0), as answering a few questions signals to me that you did not complete the extra credit assignment; therefore, you are not eligible for extra credit points.
If you have questions, ask me in class and NOT via email the night before it is due!
