Short Biography

Gisele M. Medina was born in Brooklyn, New York but at the age of 5 moved to Puerto Rico to her parents' hometown. She then moved back to New York to go to college at Syracuse University from which she graduated in 1974. She holds a B.S. in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. She has taught English as a Second Language since 1988.  She began teaching at Houston Community College and joined the Intensive English Program at Gulfton in1991. Her hobbies are reading, traveling, and gourmet cooking.  She is fluent in Spanish and fairly fluent in Italian.
