Department Chair, Developmental Studies
My name is Betty Fortune.
I am a native of Shreveport, Louisiana.
I received my M. Ed. degree from Prairie View A & M University, Prairie View, Texas and my BS degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
I am the Chairperson for the Developmental Studies Department. This department consists of three disciplines: Developmental English,Academic ESL and Guided Studies. My duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the management of two Computer Learning Centers as well as a Tutoring Center. These centers provide services to students through the enhancement of reading, writing and study skills.
