Dr. Allan Soffar has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin with Pre-Medical Science and English majors and History minor.  He has a year of basic sciences from University of Texas Medical School at Galveston.
He has a Master of Arts Degree from  University of Houston with a History major.
He has a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Texas Tech University with a History major and English minor.

Dr. Soffar has over thirty-six years of teaching experience at four universities and six community college systems.  He has taught traditional classes in college classrooms, dual credit and college option classes in high schools, and college-level classes to inmates in the Texas Department of Corrections branches.  He has taught eighteen different classes including United States history surveys, Western Civilization surveys, Texas history, Developmental English, English Composition, American Literature, British Literature, World Literature, Macro Economics, Micro Economics, Macro-Micro Economics, and Consumer Economics.  He has taught at twenty-eight different campuses of the Houston Community College System.
